Good vibes know no geographical limits. The Invisible Opera Company Of Tibet consists of a group of Brazilian musicians, who are doing as much as anyone, to generate a genuine Gong spirit in the 21st Century. The connection between Gong and The Invisible Opera Company Of Tibet, comes from concerts Daevid Allen did in Brazil a few years back with this band, but there are many more parallels.
Using many of the classic Gong sounds, such as glissando guitar, discordant sax, spiritual acoustic works, and tuned percussive sounds, the band incorporate them into their own forward-looking music. At times it's almost like listening to a new Gong album. The surprising thing is about the Invisible Opera Company Of Tibet is that there are only three musicians at work here, performing live.
