Date Published: 07-05-2015

By Grace Wong, Inland Valley Daily Bulletin

INDIO >> With his all-white hair, Eric Burdon, and the Animals, brought energy and crowd-pleasing hits to the audience, many of whom grew up listening to Burdon’s voice.

With sounds like “Spill the Wine,” which Burdon originally performed with War, “It’s My Life,” and “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood,” Burdon strutted around the stage, and delivered each hit powerfully.

To close out his performance, Eric Burdon and the Animals performed “House of the Rising Sun.”

“Oh my God, I love my life right now,” said Deidre Baggett, 52, from Grand Terrace who grew up listening to Burdon’s hits. “I had to jump down and teach the young people how to dance to it. You just have to take a deep breath and then go with the music. I’m really, really, really happy to be there. This is my man.”
